MILESTONES
Being a leader in the field of Permanent Supportive Housing has meant that we have had to forge our own pathway to success. This commitment to being the change is in our organizational DNA, with Excellence enshrined as one of our four core values. Take veterans’ housing, for example. When ACOF realized that the crisis of housing availability for veterans could not be solved because a legal definition excluded veterans from being a “protected class”, we spearheaded a campaign to change state and federal law to allow for dedicated housing, and were one of the first developers in the country to build housing for veterans once the laws were changed. That’s just one of the many achievements we have celebrated since ACOF began in 1988. Browse the years below to see some of ACOF’s many milestone moments.
